Evolving
The height that great men reached were not attained by sudden flight
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
There's something about having FAITH that makes you do things that you might not even understand at the time; things that make other people think you're crazy.
This year has been a roller coaster ride, but I thank God for new experiences and growth.
Going for almost two months without posting on my blog wasn't part of the plan for this years blogging but that happened and even though I was really sad about it, I had to just focus on the other things that life had thrown my way. Thank you to everyone who sent text emails to check up on me. God bless you.
I'm currently in a transitional phase. I'm officially no more a youth corper. Thank God! And I'm learning to take life one step at a time.
My life right now is about holding on to hope, because I know God is forever faithful.
I'm learning to keep an open mind and adapt quickly to changes, not to rush or negotiate with God about his purpose for my life. I'm making way for new experiences and growth!
I am evolving.
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone
-Neale Donald Walsch
Having this kind of crazy faith is going to take some getting used to, it requires boldness which has never really been my strong suit, it requires getting out of my comfort zone but I'm all buckled up, sitting tight and enjoying every bit of the process.
Every step we take in life requires faith. A little bit a lot of self-confidence and courage.
This post is a form of encouragement for anyone feeling God's pull in a completely different direction from what you imagined your life would be, don't fight it, just trust Him, don't be afraid, stay positive, grow physically, spiritually and emotionally through it all and just make sure you do your best always.
He who risks nothing, cannot win
God is for you, He will never ever be against you. Let him take your hand and lead you through life.
Hey Kunmi! You will do really great. I kept on refreshing your website to see new updates.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tosin!
DeleteHi Kunmi,
ReplyDeleteAlways a delight to read from you; such depth of thoughts!
It's okay to be a bit anxious or afraid during life's transitions, such as you are. But not okay to feel overwhelmed.
At these times, there are 3 things one should have:
1. Fixed focus on one's long term VISION or what some call destiny
2. VALUE system, what I call Non-Negotiables. These are pre-determined standards of living and conduct
3. Strong FAITH in God, which you have dealt with above.
A little secret; you inspired me to start writing in my office's internal blog called yammer. I kinda focus on career and personal development.
Cheers,
Ayo

We all get to that point in our lives we just have to lean on Him.
DeleteThank you.
Congrats as well.
Ah. KunmiO. It does happen that what we thought was the path wasn't really it. I struggle with obedience sometimes, in following God's path. But as u said 'God is never, ever against us'. I must always remember that. 😁
