Kente meets Ankara!

Hello all!

I mentioned in this post HERE that I received a package from Damilola Oke of FIERCE AND MODISH on behalf of the ICONOLA BRAND. Iconola, which stands for "image of wealth and honor is a new Nigerian women's wear brand. I got a kente crop top and Ankara shorts.

Initially, I was confused as to how to wear it because the crop top was "really cropped" lol and I've passed that phase where I was always in a hurry to bare my flat stomach. Anyway I found a way to make it work. I just dug out my handmade peplum belt and there! problem solved.[Crop top styling tip!]

I also wanted to ditch the shorts and just wear skinny jeans but Cassie of CASSIEDAVES [who also helped to take these photos; God bless her] suggested that I wear the shorts, so I did. I did not have time to adjust the waist of the shorts so the belt helped to hold that as well. I still wasn't sure about the whole look, that's why it took me so long to publish this post but what do you guys think? Would you rock this?
