Blooming x Lovin' Me

Jeremiah 17: 6-8

"But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. 

He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

For the better part of last week, I woke up everyday feeling like less of a person. I wanted to quit;  the blog, NYSC,  and so many other things  and probably just run to hide in a cave because I just wasn't feeling enough but I chose to Live above all those feelings. Trust me it wasn't so easy, I had to repeat Romans 8:1 like a million times. There was a lot of struggling to fight back tears, struggling to smile etc but I pulled through. I chose to BLOOM.

Lets back up a little to the scripture above [Jeremiah 17:5-8] , don't we all want to be like that tree that bears fruit and has no worries and whose leaves are always green even in the dry season? Well I know I want to be. I want to bloom wherever I'm planted. I want to stay positive no matter where I am and no matter what's going on in my life. I want to be able to trust God's unique plan for me and stop comparing with everyone else. I want to start believing that everything that happens under the sun goes through a process and learn to appreciate the process of every situation I find myself in and trust God even when I don't get it, instead of  spending most of my days feeling like crap. 

Excerpt from a movie I watched over the weekend... 

 "And while our sorrow may be profound, the clouds will clear, and the sun will shine on us again. And in that warm, bright light, we will find ourselves facing a glorious future. A future of exciting challenges and infinite possibility in which the horizon will stretch out before us rimmed in the heavenly glow of the sunrise of our tomorrow."

But you don’t have to wait for the clouds to clear before you start preparing for greatness, you have to start even when things still seem gloomy else you might not notice when the sun starts shining. [Some days it storms and some days it rains and that’s how flowers grow]. This goes to show that you have to start blooming right where you are planted. Quit complaining and comparing [2 Corinthians 10:12b] as that would only make you wither. Come to a place where you trust God’s love for you completely and know that where you are is exactly where God wants you to beat that point in time and be the best you can be for Him. [Eccl 3:22]

For days when you wake up not feeling good enough Don't receive condemnation.Just get back up, dust yourself off and start again. You are enough.  We all have to accept the fact that along with strengths we also have weaknesses. Just let Christ be strong in your weaknesses; let Him be your strength on your weak days.
