Day 1: Love is a priority

and the greatest of these is Love 1 Corinthians 13:13

Live a life of Love, because your life depends on it 1 Corinthians 14:1

Hello My Loves!
Happy New Month and Happy Sunday!!
There's nothing like starting the new month in Gods presence and I feel so blessed. I explained extensively in my LAST POST the reason behind #31daysofLovinlikeJesus and I'm quite excited about this! Will you join me for the next 30 days as we learn from the Author of Love himself? Each day will tell a different story and challenge you to a Love task. Exciting huh? I know! 

Let's get started. 

Day 1: Love is a priority

We all want Love.

The World needs Love.

Love makes the world go round. It’s the answer to ALL  our problems

Yes all of that is true but what we really need is God, because God is love.

Love is the first fruit of the spirit, [see Galatians 5:22] therefore it’s the first step in any one’s spiritual journey,  in other words, we can’t claim to be Christians or even spiritual and not love.

Love is a priority because we shine through love; we draw others closer to God through love. [See John 13:35]

But we can’t do this on our own, we might feel affection on our own, but affection is limited. We can’t love limitlessly like Jesus on our own. [See John 15:1-10] that’s why with each passing day we need to ask God to reduce us to love like he does because human love is fickle and can turn to hatred overnight but the Love of God stands strong, through the test of time. It’s beautiful, it’s Unconditional, and It’s true Love.

We need the love of God to be shed abroad in our heart daily, because He’s the only one that can love others through us, the only one that gives us strength to loving others even when they reject our love.

Loving like Jesus [unconditional Love] is the salt of life, it’s what binds each and every one of us together and it’s the only thing that guarantees our survival. Basically, our lives depend on Love. You have to learn to love and be lovable through Jesus.

We are not perfect [ I mean just yesterday, I was about to cuss out a keke driver that hit my car and today I was squeezing my face 'cus I had to wait for my sister for an hour and half], and if we must Love like Jesus we need Divine grace [tons of it] and that leads me to today's task

1) Pray this Scripture.

[Ephesians 3:17-19]

“So that Christ may dwell in your [my] heart[s] through faith. And I pray that I, being rooted and established in love,  may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,  and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you [I]  may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God”.

2.) Take a place card  and write out 1 Corinthians 13 and read it as you write, place it by your bedside [or where you can see it every morning] and just soak in it each day till it makes sense to you.
