Day 31 of 31: Because He loved us first

We love because he first loved us.- 1 John 4:19

Unmotivated, Tired, Unlovable, Unloving is the way I've been feeling for the past week.  Ironic right? This shows that I'm not yet exactly where God wants be to be but I'm not where I was yesterday either and I'm grateful for that.

On some days, I was tempted to give into these feelings and forget about this whole thing and probably come back to apologize later but that is not what Love does. Those were just feelings and Love lives above feelings.

This goes to show that the  devil would stop at no cost to stop us from learning about the Love of God and if I had given in to those feelings it would have been selfish, but Love is not selfish. I struggled to publish posts for the past week and some days I already gave up but God's Grace had me and at the last minute I would get to my computer and post that explains the inconsistency in timing. 

The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so.

- Ephesians 3:18

The Law of God is the Law of Love and when we give in to the way our unrenewed  mind [Romans 12] and body feels, we can never Love like Jesus. 

God Loved us first when He sent Jesus to die so we can be free from sin and he expects that when we accept this freedom from sin [become born again], we also show this Love to the world. Basically we need to be born again believers to Love like Jesus.[ 2 Cor 5:17]

A long time ago before Jesus came, in the days of Moses, there was nothing like becoming born again and hence they didn't understand the concept of unconditional Love they only had to follow a set of rules and regulations  [The Ten commandments] which gave them a vague idea of Love  but notice how the law of Love which is the law of the New covenant [Redemption] takes the place of the Ten commandments because if you truly understand God's law, you would serve Him only, you won't turn material things and humans into idols, you would respect God and Honor Him, you would honor your parents, you would not steal, kill, commit adultery or fornicate, you would not lie or be envious.... The law of Love fulfils all of the Ten commandments. [John 13:34] 

 “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”- John 13:34

 Don’t run up debts, except for the huge debt of love you owe each other. When you love others, you complete what the law has been after all along.[from the old testament]- Romans 13:8-10

In summary, you need to be born again to experience Love God's way. The big picture of expereincing Unconditional Love is determined by that first "yes" you say to Jesus. Today I implore you to say Yes to Him.  If I wasn't born again,  I would have given in to my feelings and this love series would have remained an idea and God would have used someone else to execute it. But being born again made me understand the place of Grace in Love and I kept asking for it all through. I'm not perfect and I still have a lot to learn about God's Love but this is a start and I hope it has helped someone out there as well. I'm n a journey of Learning to Love like God and I won't stop till I am there because I know my life depends on it and as I learn I would definitely share with you guys. 

Now Let's go ahead and Love freely and intensely because God has Loved us sooooo much first!
