Day 6: Love Serves

In Love, there’s humility.

Basically, a proud person cannot serve neither can he Love 1 Corinthians 13:4

I Love to serve!

No really, I literally jump at every opportunity to serve; my friends, at church, at home etc

I used to think it because I’m overly sympathetic and empathetic, but now I understand it’s Love (God) in me.

He has given me the gift of putting others before myself most times. When it comes to helping others, I go all the way, even to places I won’t go for myself.

Jesus showed us the perfect example of service when He washed the disciples’ feet.

I mean, almighty Jesus, the teacher, the Lord washed feet! 

“You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet [you should also serve other] I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. – [John 13:13-15]

Now it’s time for us to follow that example. No one is too important to serve others. Go out of your way today to Love on others, show Love through the small things. Love is not self-seeking, Love honours others 

“The greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves.- [Luke 22:26]. Let go of titles and positions today, stoop to conquer”

Day 5: Love serves

Think of a way you can serve those around you today it could financially, emotionally, spiritually, through your talent, etc. and get around to it.  Don’t do it for recognition, or for rewards, Let Love motivate you.

As you make this a lifestyle, watch how wonderful things would start to happen for you, watch how you would bring out the love in others and how your spirit would feel refined and stronger.
