Day 19: Clothe yourself with Love

COLOSSIANS 3:12-14

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.

I love how the message translation says we should dress in the wardrobe God has picked out. It means regardless of what we put on from our physical wardrobe, if we're not dressed out of God's wardrobe there's no point dressing up at all. Basically, there's no point wearing  the best designer brands if you are not dressed in God's designer brand in which Love is the all-purpose garment.

So tomorrow and every morning after,  when you put on your Louboutins and your Versace and your denim on denim and so on lol :) also put on compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline, ... and Most of all LOVE. And the best way to do this is by asking God for grace and also praying to Him to let his Love be shed abroad in your heart.
